Fore Love & Money

On June 5th we celebrated our Annual 31st Fore Love & Money Golf and Tennis outing at Schuyler Meadows Club. It was a beautiful day for the attendees to play some golf and tennis. A reception followed with 15-LOVE Excellence Participant and Schenectady High School Senior and Salutatorian Rondacia McPherson speaking about 15-LOVE's impact on her future.

"We are incredibly lucky to have such great love from our community," said 15-LOVE Executive Director Amber Marino. "The support we have received made this year’s event one for the record books! Thank you, everyone, including our amazing sponsors, supporters and staff. Without your help, we would not be able to give our all to serve our community the way we do."

Summer programming began June 26th. Classes are filling up!

View the Summer Program Schedule and please register online.

We added two new classes to the schedule in each County: High School Fundamentals (for middle and high school students wanting to make an HS team) and an Adaptive Class (for students who would benefit from adaptations to help them be successful). We will continue with the online registration, as we found it's the best way to keep everything organized, but tennis class sizes will not be limited.

Please note: due to limited spacing in our Education Programming, our cancellation policy remains in effect (please contact us if you will miss a class so students from the wait list can attend). As for Tennis Programming, canceling is encouraged if you won't be returning for the remainder of the summer (missing a class is fine).

KeyBank Volunteers Help Us

Get Ready for Summer Programming

KeyBank volunteers spent the afternoon with us on June 13th to help us tackle some projects in our garden and in the office that will help us get ready for summer programming. They are no strangers to our office. Last year they volunteered their time doing almost the same exact tasks: weeding, sorting books, and assembling activity kits for our participants.

They split into three groups - one group worked in our garden doing some weeding and sanding our new fence. The second group sorted books for distribution this summer, and the third group assembled 4th of July-themed solar bead bracelet kits to be given to our participants. Our goal was to have 1,000 kits prepared for the first week of programming and they made it happen.

“We so appreciate KeyBank's help," said 15-LOVE Executive Director Amber Marino. "Every time they show up to help, they go above and beyond with some big projects on our to-do list. This time of year requires a lot of hands and a lot of coordination – and Key Bank’s volunteers always lighten our load. Thank you, again!"
