The Metrowest Interfaith Community includes faith leaders and advocates in the Jewish, Christian and Baha'i communities of Holliston, as well as the Islamic Center of Boston, the Sikh Gurdwara of Millis, the Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of Boston (Hindu), and Peace Islands Institute. Together we provide opportunities for multifaith and multi-spiritual neighbors to come together. In doing so, we honor the presence of God through our rich diversity and help create communities of solidarity and hope.

Dr. Amy-Jill Levine is the Rabbi Stanley M. Kessler Distinguished Professor of New Testament and Jewish Studies at Hartford International University. The recipient of prestigious awards too numerous to list, she was the first Jew to teach New Testament at Rome’s Pontifical Biblical Institute. She has given close to 1000 lectures on the Bible, Christian-Jewish relations, and Religion, Gender, and Sexuality across the globe. March 26, 12 pm - 1 pm

The Marrow of Worship: Muslim and Christian Supplication Practices during Ramadan and Lent

On Tuesday, April 2, 12 pm, The International University of Hartford for Religion and Peace present a lunchtime seminary. Join Dr. Lucinda Mosher and Dr. Hossein Kamaly as they reflect on Muslim and Christian devotional practices and literature characteristic of these two great seasons of fasting.

Dr. Lucinda Mosher is the Senior Scholar for Continuing and Professional Education; Faculty Associate in Interreligious Studies; Director, MA in Interreligious Studies; and Senior Editor, Journal of Interreligious Studies at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace.

Dr. Hossein Kamaly is Professor of Islamic Studies and Interreligious Studies; and Holder of the Imam Ali Chair in Shia Studies and Dialogue Among Islamic Schools of Thought at Hartford International University for Religion and Peace.
