In June, 2023, New Heights Church began their demolition process for The Grove: Regional Community Center. Over the course of two weeks, 76 volunteers of all ages contributed just over 300 service hours towards the effort. Before professional crews came in, teams worked to remove walls, rip up carpet and flooring, get rid of or store cabinets, and open up the ceiling in the 17,000 SF center of the facility. All equipment was covered by local organization and individual donations, and teams were led by local and congregational professionals with backgrounds in the trades.

Working with NCI-Roberts Construction (building remodel design by Building God's Way), contractors shared their encouragement to do what we could and save money as able. After the effort, Jace Jontz (NCI project manager), shared that "in [his] 15 years of working with churches, he has never had a congregation complete everything on their demo list and more."
