End-of-Year Picnic Volunteers needed

End-of-Year Medication Reminders

As we approach the end of the school year, here are some reminders for students with medications at school:

  • For safety reasons, we do not send medication home with students during the school year, including the last day of school. On the last day of school, students are only allowed to self-carry prescription asthma inhalers and non-syringe injectors of epinephrine home from school.
  • Parents/guardians are responsible for picking up and signing out all other student medication(s) directly from the health office. Medication not picked up by the last day of school will be discarded as pharmaceutical waste per district policy and state statute. If you are unable to pick up and sign out your student’s medication(s) on the last day of school, please make arrangements with the health office staff to pick up medication(s) prior to the last day of school.
  • Pick up for emergency medication on the last day of school:

Wednesday, June 14th (last day of school) 2 pm till 3 pm

West entrance by the parking lot

  • Please plan for the 2023-2024 school year! New medication authorization forms are required for each new school year. If your student is attending summer programming (camp, summer school), you are responsible for coordinating with that program and providing the medication for the summer. More information for the 2023-24 school year can be found here.

If you have any questions or would like to arrange a different pick up time, please contact mavery@tcgis.org

Help new families find TCGIS with a positive review

We currently have open spots in kindergarten and other grades that we need to fill. You can help prospective families find and learn more about our excellent school and welcoming community when you leave a positive review on sites like Google or GreatSchools.org. Thank you in advance!

We need TWO more Intern Host Families!

All of our students benefit from the intern program. Whether working in small groups or teaching a new unit to the class, interns provide so many rich opportunities to speak and learn in German and help students and families build personal connections to Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The intern program is only possible with the generous support of host families. Will you host an intern next year? "Meet" our fall interns here! Ready to apply? Fill out the Host Family Application (deadline June 10). Learn more: tcgis.org/host-an-intern
