Haverford Business Developments - June 2023

Join us on Friday, June 9 for our Haverfood Festival at the Municipal Building Lot at 1014 Darby Road to celebrate summer and to serve as a fundraiser for the work of Discover Haverford. There will be food trucks and vendors, a 50/50, raffles, and much more!

$5 admission

(free for kids 3 and under)

$20 per household

Admission includes music by DJ Brickhouse, a visit from Spiderman from 4-6PM, face painting & temporary tattoos, a photo booth, and various lawn and carnival games. To view a complete list of food vendors click the link below!

Volunteers Needed!

Many hands make light work. We need volunteers who can support the event by either being a greeter, set up/break down, fun zone, and so much more!

Does your teen need to complete community service hours? Are you retired and looking to be involved in the township? Are you a member of one of the townships many civic associations?

We expect this to be a very popular event!

Parking is limited so if you can walk, bike, Uber or Lyft to the event, that would be great!

Limited off-street parking is available at the Municipal Building lower lots, at Chatham Park Elementary School, and at the Brookline Boulevard Lot.

Metered and non-metered spots are available on both sides of Darby Road. There is parking in the residential neighborhoods, but please be mindful not to block any driveways!

Discover Haverford Welcomes Ardent Credit Union

Ardent Credit Union is proud to open their first DELCO branch right here in Haverford Township! Located at 160 West Eagle Road, Havertown (Across from the Haverford YMCA.) Ardent prioritizes their members and hopes to continue their strong relationship with the Delaware County community. Rob Werner, President and CEO of Ardent Credit Union shared his feelings of “coming back home” to Havertown.

Discover Haverford Welcomes Two New Board Members

On May 10, 2023, the Board of Discover Haverford voted on adding two new members. Both Caroline Finnegan and Jennifer Bazydlo are small business owners and residents of Haverford Township.

Caroline Finnegan, owner and principle designer of Hendren House. Caroline has been involved with Discover Haverford since the opening of Hendren House in 2022 through community events, judging the Holiday Window Display Contest and hosting a Small Business Happy Hour and believes in, "growing and diversifying our community, while also celebrating our history."

Jennifer Bazydlo, realtor with Space & Company as well as Land Use and Zoning Attorney/Solo Practitioner- Law Office of Jennifer A. Bazydlo. Jennifer has extensive knowledge in zoning, land use, and real estate law. Her goal when representing small businesses, "is not just to ensure that they are in legal compliance, but to help facilitate a positive relationship between them and the surrounding communities."
