BW4PC ANNOUNCEMENT:
The Black Women 4 Positivé Change (BW4PC) is affiliated with the Positive Change Foundation, under the leadership of Dr. Stephanie Myers and the Honorable Daun S. Hester, National Co-Chairs.
The BW4PC Foundation is excited to announce a special presentation by Dr. Hattie N. Washington on the topic of "Role of Parents in Stopping Violence,” kicking off the BW4PC's 12th Annual Month of Nonviolence, Families, Voting Rights, and Opportunities (October 2023). We believe Washington's presentation will be a thought-provoking and informative event.
About The Speaker:
Dr. Washington is a renowned author, former Vice President of Institutional Advancement at Coppin State University, former Assistant Superintendent at Baltimore Public Schools, and a charter member of BW4PC.
Her insights into the role of parents in preventing violence will be invaluable to us all, as the founder of Aunt Hattie’s Place, a non-profit home for abused and abandoned foster boys, many with special educational needs and behavioral problems. "Aunt Hattie" is also the mother of two daughters (a physician and an attorney), and of an adopted foster son (an IT executive for Microsoft).
Her experience, insight, and foresight are noteworthy--in prevention and intervention techniques.
