Panopto Video Retention Process to be Implemented December 21
Effective Wednesday, December 21, UNLV will be implementing a content retention process for Panopto video recordings to more effectively manage our allocated storage space for Panopto.
Video recordings that have not been viewed, edited, or accessed will be archived after two years and then permanently deleted after two additional years if not viewed, edited, accessed, or retrieved from archived status.
- Archived Videos: Once archived, videos may still be retrieved for another two years.
- Permanent Deletion: After four years since their last viewing, editing, or accessing, videos will be permanently deleted and will not be recoverable.
Videos that have been viewed or edited within the past two years will remain in active storage and immediately available for viewing.
For additional details, including how to find and view your archived videos and alternative storage solutions, review the Archived Panopto videos support article.
