FAITH’S REWARD

Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him [God]: for he that cometh to God must believe [first of all] that he is, [exists] and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” 

The reward of the afterlife begins with your belief that God exists even though you cannot physically see him. The next step, and most crucial one, is to have faith that he hears you and will respond to you when you seek him.

There are many who question whether there is a supreme God, and if there is, then they question whether he can even hear you and answer you. We call these people agnostics. His existence must first be acknowledged because only then are you able to come to him in faith.

When you accept him by faith without being able to see him, then you can learn of his reality through the Word of God, by the Holy Spirit, and through the blessings of his favor [grace]. He will manifest himself to you in many various ways.

When your faith is upon him, he will reward you just as a faithful father [or any parent] will reward their obedient child. You can also ask for blessings from him above and beyond the rewards. He desires to bless you.

Ask, and you shall receive blessings untold.

YOUR CROSS

There is a story told of a man that went to the Lord and asked him to remove his cross. He told the Lord that it was just too big and heavy for him to carry. Jesus took him into a room where there were crosses of all sizes, some rather large, and some quite small.  

The man went to a small cross and told Jesus that he would take that one and Jesus told him that he could not have that one.  

The man was quite perplexed, and said, “Why?”  

Jesus told him that it was the cross that he already was carrying.

Often, we see the burdens that we are asked to bear in life as being more than we can handle. We might complain to the Lord about them. In 1 Corinthians 10:13 it says, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

As we consider this verse, we see that mankind will always go through trials and temptations. It also lets us know that God knows exactly what we can take before we fail. When it gets to the point that we cannot bear it any longer, He will give us a way out of the situation, so we do not fail. 

 Just like the man in our story with the cross, we must not see our trials as something no one else has gone through. God, who knows everything, knows that these trials build us or break us. Trusting that God is with us through these trials builds our faith. Trying to go through them in our own strength will break us.  

Each of us is given a cross to carry, and God knows exactly what the weight should be. Trust that He will help you carry it.

Yes, it’s time to give God praise; For He is your rock and you can put your complete trust in Him through every situation. Today I speak the divine peace of God on those of you who are reading this. Just always remember that God is your REFUGE and He is your STRENGTH. Yes, God is a very present help to all those who love Him and will seek His face, His favor and His forgiveness. Now I pray this for you who are ready to receive it in Jesus Name; So you just trust Him through it all.
