Did you know that March is National Craft Month?
We’re offering a few ways to help you celebrate! We miss crafting with kids in person at the library, but the next best thing is a “Zoomed” crafting program!
On March 27 we’ll hold a Family Craft Time, where we’ll build simple birdfeeders together. The library will provide craft kits that include materials you need for the project – so be sure to register by March 18 so that we can put your craft kit together and arrange for you to pick it up at the library.
Another way to celebrate National Craft Month is to pick up one of our “Book a Craft” kits: if you’ve liked our Take-and-Make craft bags, you’ll love this bigger and better version, which includes books that you can check out along with crafts for kids to do at home.
The theme for the first half of the month is “Sweet Treats,” and for the second half of the month it’s “Under the Sea.” (Available while supplies last; come to the Children’s Department to get Book a Craft bags for your kids, or call us at 978-686-4080 x26 to “book” your kit and arrange to pick it up.)
Last but not least, throughout the month we’ll have our usual array of online storytimes, book groups, science and cooking projects, and programs for babies and preschoolers – and even though we can’t do “live” programs, we always enjoy seeing you when you visit the library to check out books.
