This is sure to be a fun and informative talk about the Salem witch Trials of 1621!

October is pretty Spooky in the Children's Department

Livia Lawrence is one of a select group of young people to receive a signed Zdeno Chara puck from the Boston Bruins for their outstanding participation in the 2016 summer reading program. Livia loves to read, plays hock ey and  is a big Bruins fan! She was wearing her Bruins T-shirt when she came to pick up her prize. Livia said "I am really excited! The puck is really cool and I love it!" On Your Mark, Get Set...Read! was sponsored by the Boston Bruins, the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC), and the Massachusetts Library System.

Celebrate Archeology Month with Joseph Bagley, City of Boston Archeologist

As the Archeologist for the City of Boston, Joseph Bagley has been in some pretty tight spots,  deep ones too, analyzing the detritus of our ancestors in the City confines.  He has been called to sites large (the big dig) and small (the Old North Church) to help document and preserve the city as it morphs into a more modern version of itself.  Come hear  Joseph discuss some of his more interesting findings and hear of his experiences in this interesting job.
