Hurricane Hilary Impact Warning

Hurricane Hilary is on course to impact Southern California this weekend, bringing a range of potential dangers. Coastal areas could experience rogue waves, heavy surf, rip currents, rain, lightning, and waterspouts, while inland regions should brace for high winds and heavy rainfall. The risk of bacterial contamination in the surf zone due to Hilary's rain necessitates a 72-hour avoidance of water contact following measurable rainfall. Caution is advised for mariners, beachgoers, and individuals near the surf. Stay vigilant as Hilary's rapid intensification may lead to varying wave sizes, with stormy conditions likely to persist into early next week.
