The Town of Wainwright has been approved for disaster recovery financial assistance through the Government of Alberta Disaster Recovery Program.

If your home or business was affected by the July 7 - 9, 2022 flooding please go to www.alberta.ca/DRP for more information and to submit your application.

Government officials from the Disaster Recovery Program will be in Wainwright on June 5 and 6 to help with filing for assistance & any questions you may have regarding the July 7, 2022 flooding.

TAX NOTICES

Tax notices have been mailed out. Please note that Town of Wainwright taxes are due in full by June 30, 2023. Taxes can be paid:

• at banks
• online
• regular mail
• mail slot in front door at Town Office
• by credit card on our website at wainwright.ca
• Town Office

2023 PROPERTY INSPECTIONS

This notice is to inform Town of Wainwright ratepayers that re-inspection of properties for assessment purposes will commence the week of May 1st, 2023. Properties east of 14th Street, north of 8th Avenue and south of 14th Avenue will be re-inspected. In addition, any other properties requiring review throughout the Town of Wainwright will also be re-inspected.

Inspections will be done by Wainwright Assessment Group Ltd. and will be completed around the end of December 2023. Assessors will be on site and show I.D. when occupants are present and leave notes in doors and proceed with an exterior inspection when no one is at the property.

2023 CANADA DAY PUBLIC MARKET

PSP Wainwright is seeking interested vendors to join them at CFB Wainwright for their annual Canada Day Celebration. This year they are working directly with the Wainwright Market organizers to try and obtain a greater amount of interest to reflect the current town markets and establish professional relationships with community members.

This year they will provide tables, chairs and canopies for all vendors. The location will be within the Fishpond area. Further details will be sent out as they obtain a list of interested parties.

If you would like to join them, please send an email to recreation.wainwright@cfmws.com no later than June 15, 2023. They are accepting vendors of all types, please share this information if you know of someone just starting out or who isn't on the Wainwright Farmers Market Vendor page.
