It's time to tell your story to advertisers ... with customized sales sheets for your local market
The Local Newspaper Study conducted by Coda Ventures for America's Newspapers shows that while local newspapers have challenges, they are uniquely positioned to deliver the local news and information that Americans want ... and in the ways they want it.

It is time to tell our story to advertisers with data that show how their brands will benefit by adding newspapers (print and digital) to their media plan.

Learn about customized sales sheets that will be personalized to your market, using your data in combination with results from the national study.

Submit your best editorials or columns for the Carmage Walls Commentary Writing Awards
Newspapers will be judged based on their circulation size
$15,000 in cash prizes to be awarded
Nominate your best editorials or columns for recognition with this year's Carmage Walls Commentary Writing Prize. The deadline for entries is May 31.

Nominate your own work or take this opportunity to honor your newspaper's best columnists and editorial writers with a nomination.

In a column written for America’s Newspapers, Leonard Woolsey, president of Southern Newspapers, talks about the importance of newspaper editorials and columns. He called them “the heartbeat of a newspaper.”

That voice is an important part of your connection with your community and it is our honor to recognize the talented writers across our membership who write with courage about the issues that most affect their local communities.

Awards in two categories will be presented this fall at our Senior Leadership Conference:

  • An award for excellence in editorial writing (representing the view of the newspaper).

  • And, an award for excellence in column writing (columns written by one or more individuals).

In each case, first-, second- and third-place honors will be awarded in two circulation breakouts: over 35,000 and under 35,000. In addition to recognition among the membership, a total of $15,000 in cash prizes also will be awarded. This contest is open to all members of America’s Newspapers – both daily and non-daily papers.
