Caring for Refugee / Migrating Families


For several years, the IFNA Practice Committee has maintained an IFNA webpage that includes resources re: family-focused assessment and intervention; a variety of position statements about refugee and migrating families; and nursing and health care documents and websites about refugee/migrating family health. New data from the United Nations reports that 4 million refugees have fled Ukraine since February 24, 2022

IFNC15 Highlights and Planning for IFNC16

A virtual 15th International Family Nursing Conference, “Family Nursing Throughout the Life Course”, was held over 5 days in June/July 2021 with 350 participants from 29 countries; co-chairs Dr. June Andrews Horowitz (USA) and Dr. Veronica M. Swallow (UK)

The 16th International Family Nursing Conference will be a hybrid conference in Dublin, Ireland in 2023. Conference co-chairs: Dr. June Andrews Horowitz (USA) and Dr. Sarah Neil (UK). More details will be announced soon.
