IMPORTANT NEWS
THANK YOU TO THE 135 FAMILIES WHO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN THE 2023 STEWARDSHIP OF TREASURE!
WON'T YOU JOIN THEM?
Over the past few weeks, our parish has focused on recognizing that everything we have is a gift from God. With Thanksgiving upon us, there is no better time to express our gratitude for all of God's abundant blessings. As we start to wrap up our yearly emphasis on Stewardship, I ask you to prayerfully reflect on the blessings God has given to you and make a pledge to Our Lady of Guadalupe. Your generosity allows us to continue the mission of Jesus Christ bother here in our parish family and in the wider community.
You may make your pledge online at https://olgseattle.org/stewardship-pledge, return your commitment card by mail or drop it in the collection basket at mass.
SHOEBOXES OF JOY are due this weekend!! Will be blessed at the 11:00 am Mass.
LITURGY
THANKSGIVING MASS
Thursday, November 24th at 10:00 AM. Please bring donated food for our St. Vincent de Paul. Also, you are invited to bring any item for your special dinner to be blessed by Fr. Kevin and enjoyed later that day.
CELEBRATING THE ADVENT & CHRISTMAS SEASON
Advent begins this Sunday! Hopefully you will be able to participate in some of our parish's celebrations of this season. We encourage you to reach out and invite your neighbors, family, or friends to come and join us whether it is the celebration of our Feast Day, our Reconciliation Services, or our Christmas masses. It truly is a time of great preparation and celebration! CLICK HERE for a schedule of events and resources.
 ADULT CONFIRMATION PREPARATION PROGRAM
begins on Tuesday, January 3rd from 6:30-7:45 pm by Zoom with one Saturday morning retreat. The Confirmation celebration will take place on Sunday, February 12th at the 11:00 Mass. The sacrament of Confirmation completes our Catholic initiation and makes it possible for us to participate as godparents, sponsors, and other liturgical roles in our Church. Contact Helen, heleno@olgseattle.org , 206-935-0358
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN BEING A EUCHARISTIC MINISTER?
Ordinary ministers of communion are the bishop, priest and deacon, however, due to the pastoral needs of providing communion to all the faithful, the Church authorizes lay ministers to distribute communion at Mass and to persons who are sick and/or homebound. Eucharistic Ministers must also be fully initiated into the Church, having celebrated baptism, confirmation and First Communion. In addition, beginning in January we will return to offering communion by the cup, so we need more EM’s to serve at Mass. Training will be offered in the coming weeks. Please contact Helen Oesterle, heleno@olgseattle.org for more information.
ADORATION AND PRAYER
Parishioners are invited to come to the church and pray in our new Blessed Sacrament Chapel during the week. Just come by the Parish Office to get a key or call the Office and we can arrange to meet you there and let you in. We wish we could keep the church unlocked but we can’t due to security.

OTHER UPDATES
BEING GREEN FOR CHRISTMAS
In the coming weeks we will be presented with many opportunities to buy gifts, decorations, food, and other items to help celebrate the season. As stewards of God’s creation, it is important for us to be thoughtful about what we buy. Suggestions include buying only “green” decorations (no plastic!), buy food that is locally and/or organically grown, buy experiences instead of things as gifts, donate to organizations that care for the environment in honor of a loved one, and look for fair-trade gifts which support communities in need. You can also check out the Care for Creation Ministry’s Advent Calendar for more ideas on how to celebrate the season!
Congratulations and God’s Blessings to Anna Katalina, daughter of Andrea and Freddy Zhanay, and Frances Rosemary, daughter of Katie and Doran McBride, who were both baptized November 12th. And congratulations and God’s Blessings to Madelyn Caleigh, daughter of Jaclyn Poon and Jonathan Lyons, and Alani Pearl, daughter of Aileen and Jason Law, upon their baptisms November 20th. We welcome you and celebrate with your families on this joyous occasion.

WE WELCOME YOU TO OLG PARISH! Paul and Sandy Sampson, Richard del Fierro and family, Garrett Hebel and family, Shirlyn Esmana and family, Jason Elen and family, Huyen Nguyen and family, Laura Shanks and family, Vera Stirling and family, Andrea Zhanay and family, James and Viki O'Connor, John and Anne Baisch, and Gloria Duenas.

ONE PARISH, ONE PRISONER NEXT STEPS
Based on your community feedback and stories, OLG showed strong support to participate in the One Parish One Prisoner (OPOP).
