INVESTING IN PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EDUCATORS

Baldwin County Public Schools and the Baldwin County Education Coalition hosted the annual Gulf Regional Innovative Teaching Conference (GRITC) on July 17th, 18th, and 19th on the campus of Fairhope Middle School.

“Our teachers are on the front lines every day changing the lives of our children. Thank you to some of our partners in education for taking time this summer to contribute their time, talent and funds to helping fulfill the mission of the Baldwin County Education Coalitions!

  • Collins Aerospace volunteered time to assist the Coalition with stocking and taking inventory in the Palm Project warehouse. Volunteers returned the following week to assist with packaging orders for schools just in time for the start of the new school year!
  • Baldwin Country Sewer Service filled a need for the Baldwin County Public Schools Transportation Department when they donated palets of water and gatorade to stock every school bus during the hot months at the start of the school year!
  • Baldwin EMC hosted a supply drive over the summer to help stock the Palm Project warehouse ahead of the school year. Employees and members were given multiple drop off locations to make donations.
  • The Baldwin Realtors Community Service Committee delivered close to 150 backpacks filled with supplies to the Baldwin County Education Coalition that will help stock the Palm Project warehouse as we kick off the 2023-2024 School Year.
  • The City of Daphne employees held a supply drive over the summer to assist in stocking the Palm Project warehouse.

The Baldwin County Education Coalition appreciates all of our partners for helping to meet the tangible needs for students in Baldwin County. The Baldwin County Education Coalition is proud to do what we do best through connecting community partners and donors with schools to meet the funding needs where public funds cannot.

Did you know that Big Brothers Big Sisters is one of America's most impactful volunteer experiences?

We see it every day in the match relationships they create for our students and help our children ignite and harness their potential.

Our schools regularly keep a waiting list of students (Littles) in our schools and are looking for new volunteers. Our students have the potential to change the world, which is why our search for volunteers (Bigs) is more important than ever.
