"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning"

Catholic Schools Week: Saturday, January 27th through Saturday, February 4th. Below is a listing of daily events.

This year, St Peter is joining other local Catholic Schools to build a school in Uganda. A school costs around $25,000 to build. Our goal is to raise around 5,000 dollars to help with this initiative. Join us in profoundly impacting the lives of children in Uganda by supporting our initiative to build a school in this deserving partner diocese community. Collaborating with local Catholic schools and the Diocesan Mission Office, we are committed to providing access to quality education for these bright young minds. Your generous contribution will construct a school and pave the way for a brighter future, empowering children with the knowledge and opportunities they deserve. Together, let's create a place where dreams take root and flourish. Join our cause and participate in this transformative journey towards education and empowerment in Uganda. Every donation brings us a step closer to making a lasting difference in the lives of these children. Let's build hope, one brick at a time.

Funds collected for Dress Down Days on February 1st and March 15th will all go towards our goal. We will also have a  "penny war" next week (Monday, February 5 through Friday, February 9) to raise money for building a school in Uganda. Students can bring in change or dollars and put their money in whichever tub represents the team they think or want to win the Super Bowl.

 WINTER CONCERT CHANGE OF DATE - GRADES 2, 3 & 4

MARCH 7, 2024 at 7:00PM

The date of the winter concert for students in grades 2, 3 & 4 has been changed to Thurs., Mar. 7. With so many days off and shortened schedules,

it became apparent that we would not have enough time to adequately prepare the students and their special parts for the winter concert.

Meet Our Staff

Mrs. Valerie Jones is an 8th grade homeroom teacher at St. Peter Catholic School. She teaches  8th grade Literature and Religion and 7th grade Religion.

She  grew up literally all over the world. She was born in Japan, attended kindergarten in England and moved to Missouri from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, when she was ten years old. She graduated from both St. Peter Catholic School and Helias Catholic High School, and attended college at Rockhurst University in Kansas City. She began her teaching career in Florida, where she taught 3rd and then 5th grade. Mrs. Jones is in her 22nd year of teaching here at St. Peter Catholic School.

She is married to her best friend Joe Jones, and they have five wonderful children. Joe Jr. attends Helias Catholic High School. Noah lives and works in Columbia. Maggie is an architect in New York City. Nate works in Los Angeles in film production. Nick is currently attending Conception Seminary College in Conception, MO.

She enjoys traveling and trying new things, and still nurtures a lifelong love of reading and theater. A perfect day for her would be spent with her entire family.

She considers being able to work at St. Peter Catholic School an honor and a blessing. She loves working  here for two reasons: her talented co-workers and the ability to share her faith everyday.
