Ms. Mariah was born and raised in Los Angeles. She found her passion of becoming an early childhood educator in the 7th grade after volunteering with younger children in an after school program. As an alumni of our local neighborhood Marshall High, Ms Mariah graduated Pasadena City College to complete her degree in Child Development. One of her goals is to become an elementary school teacher for kindergartners or 1st graders, and eventually a professor for child development.
Ms. Mariah is very close to her family as they are a huge part of her everyday life. She has a younger brother who attends John Marshall and a younger sister. Outside of teaching, she enjoys hiking, working out at the gym, and exploring new places. In her free time she likes to journal and read books, as well as the expression of painting and dancing.
