STEWARDSHIP
Stewardship
Approaching stewardship in this holy season, I am reminded of the beautiful song ”Here I am Lord,” by James Kilbane. The question, “Is it I Lord” is one we all should answer. As the pandemic lessens, and life seems to return closer to “normal,” I personally have fewer reasons to limit my contact with the church.
It has always been too easy to say to myself that someone else will do it. And they do. But we have to be careful that we don’t rely on the usual suspects over and over to get things done. Some of the best connections I have made with other church members have been in volunteering, serving on committees, work days, and Sunday School. The result is a deeper relationship with other church members, Avondale itself, and our spiritual selves. So consider chances to get more involved, and answer the question “Is it I Lord.”
Love and peace, David Hall
