2024 has been a year of transformation for TBC as an organization, the city of Boston, and our nation. The societal and institutional lights around us may flicker, dim, or even darken at times but our vision of an equitable Boston is not obscured. It is focused, we are focused, and our mission of healing is steadfast. TBC’s programs have continued to stand as impactful, affirming, spaces for over 1,000 youth, 220 youth workers, and 19 nonprofit organizations. All thanks to our dedicated staff, board, volunteers, and YOU – our committed supporters.
TBC is taking this moment as an organization to reset and reaffirm our response to the needs of youth and communities of color in the delivery of our Youth Development & Leadership, Clinical Care, and Organizational Change Pathways. We are leaning into the integration of racial equity, trauma-informed care, and restorative justice – our 3 Essential Community Practices – even more deeply as our core methodology for healing and equity.
This holiday season, we’ll be sharing stories and reflections to celebrate our foundation, embrace the moment, and look ahead to 2025 and beyond, together. To kick things off, I am proud to share TBC’s 2023 Annual Report which highlights the resilience, creativity, and commitment that carried us into this pivotal year. I encourage you to explore the stories and successes that paved the way for TBC’s current evolution.
