The game begins at 6:05 p.m. Carpooling from the church parking lot is available if you would like.

Walk to Emmaus Retreat

The Walk to Emmaus is a wonderful 72-hour retreat held over a weekend. The retreat is sponsored by the Upper Room of the United Methodist Church. The focus of the retreat is on spiritual growth and renewal as well as reviewing our core Christian beliefs. Most people who attend the Walk to Emmaus feel like it was one of the most spiritual encounters they have ever had. The retreat is offered as separate men's and women's weekends. The next retreats will be in mid-September. If you are interested in learning more about the retreat please email Les Hurrelbrink or call 336-687-2769.

Wesley Memorial School Summer Campers enjoyed participating in the WMUMC Children’s Ministries Vacation Bible School: Celebrating God’s Greatness. The children also had an opportunity to spend time with our very own Pastor Ken in the Sanctuary. Pastor Ken shared Jesus’ love for the little children…red, yellow, black, and white all are precious in His sight. The children listened intently as Pastor Ken told them about the 12 disciples, friendships, worship, and prayer. He even put on his robe, stole and cincture tie, explaining to the children why he wears a special uniform. Pastor Ken said that it shows his service to God. The children were delighted to touch and look at the beautiful stain glass windows as Pastor Ken shared stories of those whom it represents. Thank you, Pastor Ken! Come by the WMS anytime for a tour and to visit with the staff and Summer Campers.
