Weekly Director Letter 05/27/2022
Dear Parents,

I know we are all saddened by the horrific events that took place in Texas.
My heart goes out to all the families who experienced loss directly or indirectly. In times like these we reexamine our school safety protocols. Our front doors automatically lock. We have reiterated to staff to make sure when going out to the playground that all back doors remain locked at all times. Extra keys are being made so that in case of emergency, all staff have keys to all back doors so they can access the closest room if needed from outside. Extra keys are also being made so that therapists using the Science Lab can make sure the door remains locked at all times. Please know that student safety remains our #1 concern.

There are just 9 school days left before we kick off our Summer Passport For Fun for our kids ages 4 and under and our Summer STEM (Science Technology Engineering & Math) Camp for our kids going to Kindergarten - Second Grade. Our staff is busy getting your child's end of the school year packets ready! We have on site field trips planned for a small cost 5 times during the summer. Our friends at the Karate studio are also giving our students a special $13 weekly rate for 2 classes. Kids ages 3 1/2 and up who are interested can sign up with Delly or Miriam at the front door. Space is limited so if interested be sure to sign up. Classes will take place in the morning so our half-day kids can participate. We will bill your account and pay the Karate folks.

Special thanks to the parents of Brown Door for an extraordinary lunch! Thank you also to those of you who have turned in your envelopes for the year end teachers gifts. If you lost yours let us know we have more. We will collect those envelopes until June 5th and give the teachers and support staff the gifts on the last day of school.

Families in VPK or K-2 if you have any questions regarding the year end activities, please do not hesitate to see me. We have wonderful days planned. The last week of school for our VPK and K-2 will be a spirit week. Stay tuned....

Finally, we will be closed on Monday in honor of Memorial Day. I hope you have a wonderful long weekend with your family.
