In celebration of National Park Week, we're highlighting three films from the Bullfrog Films catalog that highlight the role of the National Parks Service in preserving and promoting history and wilderness heritage in the United States

These films are available on DVD with public performance rights for school and library purchase or rental. Academic streaming can be licensed from Docuseek. Campus and community groups interested in hosting a community screening can book now through Bullfrog Communities.
Into The Canyon follows photographer Pete McBride and writer Kevin Fedarko as they set out on a 750-mile hike along the entire length of the Grand Canyon. As they navigate this astonishingly diverse and powerful landscape rich in history, their quest becomes more than just an endurance test — it is also an opportunity to draw attention to the unprecedented threats facing one of the most revered landscapes in the United States.
No Time To Waste celebrates legendary 100-year-old former park ranger Betty Reid Soskin's inspiring life, work and urgent mission to restore critical missing chapters of America's story. Before her retirement in May of 2022, Betty presented her personal story at the Rosie the Riveter WWII Home Front National Historical Park, illuminating the invisible histories of Black Americans. Her efforts changed the way the National Park Service conveys this history to audiences across the U.S.
Several state and national parks are offering special programming during International Dark Sky Week, April 22-30.
The City Dark chronicles the disappearance of darkness. When filmmaker Ian Cheney moves to New York City, he discovers skies almost completely devoid of stars, spawning a journey to America’s brightest and darkest corners. Astronomers, cancer researchers, ecologists and philosophers provide glimpses of what is lost in the glare of city lights. Blending a humorous, searching tone with poetic footage of the night sky, what unravels is an introduction to the science of the dark, an exploration of the human relationship to the stars, and an attempt to answer a simple question: what do we lose, when we lose the night?
