December 2024 & January 2025

Newsletter

From Your

Associational Mission Strategist

It’s hard to believe we are at the end of another year. This has been a great year, and the Lord has worked in many ways. We truly have much to be thankful for and as we approach this Christmas season, I pray that we will see many come to faith in Christ. Many of our churches are presenting special Christmas musicals with the Gospel message and there will be many sermons preached that will emphasize why Christ came into this world! Let us pray that the Lord will work in the heart of many lives and that we will have the opportunity to disciple those in the coming year who give their heart to Jesus!

Since this Newsletter is for December and January, I want to encourage all our churches as we begin the new year to focus on reaching more people with the Gospel! We must be intentional in the mandate we have been given to be witnesses in our communities, our State, our Nation, and all around the world. We will have Associational mission efforts in the summer of 2025 and there will also be individual churches that will go on mission trips. We will also be strategizing ways we can reach our communities as well. I will be meeting with our ministry teams to revisit our associational strategy so that we can find ways to be more effective in reaching people with the Gospel. Let me know if you would like to be a part of a mission team in local missions or other regional efforts. I am looking forward to what God is going to do in 2025! Let us commit to praying for each other and that God will give each of us a burning passion for reaching the lost. May each of you have a Blessed and Merry Christmas!

Bro. Gary

The association office has a small emergency food pantry that ministers to those in need. Many of those who we assist only have a microwave and do not have access to a stove and/or oven, so the above listed items are primarily needed.

(Please check the expiration dates before donating.)

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP WITH THIS MINISTRY.

YOUR DONATIONS, AND ESPECIALLY YOUR PRAYERS, ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

What to do with all those old Sunday School books?

Don’t throw them away–bring them to SCBN Office

Bring your old SS literature to SCBN Center. (Please have the literature packed in good boxes) Chad Harris will take it to an Edwin L. Hodges Ministries collection site to send overseas. ELHM is a Christian literature ministry that collects donated Bibles, books, magazines, tapes, and tracts from American Christians and ships them to Bible schools, churches, missionaries, and ministries overseas. ELHM is a non-denominational, nonprofit, evangelical ministry.
