MESSAGE

FROM THE SUPERINTENDENT

June 17, 2022

Dear Community,

Summer is upon us and I'd like to thank all of you for a warm welcome this year as superintendent. I would also like to congratulate the 349 seniors who graduated on Friday, June 3 from the State Theatre at Playhouse Square. As I shared with the graduates, there are three things you need to be successful in life...direction, alignment, and commitment. Along the way, stay committed and overcome your challenges. Challenges make life interesting. Overcoming them make your life meaningful. If you can choose a positive attitude, I have no doubt that you will have a happy and successful life.

At our Board of Education meeting on Monday evening, the Board approved Lesley Smith as the new assistant principal of North Royalton Elementary School. Lesley previously was the elementary literacy coach. She brings a wealth of curriculum experience and has done a wonderful job this year supporting our teachers with implementing our new reading series. In addition, Jasminne Wessel was approved as the next North Royalton Middle School assistant principal. Jasminne previously was the assistant principal at St. Anthony of Padua. Congratulations, Leslie and Jasminne. We look forward to the great work you both will accomplish in your new roles.

We also congratulate all the retires that were recognized at the Board meeting as well as the new teachers approved by the Board.

Wishing everyone a relaxing, healthy and happy summer.  We will see you back in our buildings on Monday, August 22 for the first day of school!

Go Bears
