42nd Annual Conference – May 2022

Just a little over a month has passed since our 42nd Annual Conference in downtown Chicago. More than 350 people attended the event; 100% of survey respondents rated it excellent/very good and 96% said they would recommend it to their colleagues. We consistently heard it was the "best event ever!"

Thank you to each and every one of you who attended. It’s hard to put into words how amazing it was to be back in person again enjoying the connections, collaboration and hugs of an in-person event. Our speaker line-up was top notch, sponsors were incredibly generous, and the networking opportunities were endless. Attendees heard from innovative employer purchasers and leading benefits experts about ways to disrupt the current health care model and accelerate change in employer-sponsored health plans.

If you missed the event and are an MBGH member, you can find speaker bios, presentations and summaries on the Past Conferences page on our website.

NEWLY ELECTED MEMBERS TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
At our 42nd Annual Conference last month, two new board members were elected. Alex and Joe are joining a dynamic board of industry experts and progressive employers who dedicate their time and expertise to serve the mission of MBGH!
Alex Jung
Former Principal, EY-Parthenon
“I’ve been involved with MBGH ever since my first introduction to the organization 20 years ago when I was a benefits consultant. The impact of MBGH is significant. I’m honored to be able to join the board after retiring to become a consultant because now I get a front row seat. Employers are facing more challenges than ever, but the one constant is the need for education, exposure to solutions and the research that only organizations like MBGH can bring to the market."
Joe Toniolo
Senior Director, Health & Welfare Benefits, US Foods
"Over the past few years, I have been fortunate to participate in MBGH employer workgroup discussions, which gave me the opportunity to work with other employers and the MBGH team to develop white papers and other leading-edge employer resources. Now as part of the MBGH board, I look forward to even more exposure to top benefit thought leaders, putting me even closer to that 'edge.' I appreciate the opportunity to serve MBGH and our members to provide employers with real, useable health care solutions."
