Your heart builds homes, now and for generations to come

A Message from the Chairman

Construction on our first building continues to move along! The first and second-floor exterior and interior walls have been completed. As you can see in the photos below, the walls are constructed with concrete cinder blocks, ensuring that these units are Category 5 hurricane-rated. The roof trusses are being erected, and the roof installation will soon follow. And we are hopeful that the windows will arrive in the next few weeks and that electrical installation will begin this month.

It is exhilarating and moving to see this building come together because of the support of people like you! We invite you to come and get an up-close look at our progress with a private tour. You can contact Cleve Cleveland at 203-247-9118 or click the button below to schedule your personal tour.

Be aware that this is an active construction zone, so all visitors must wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) like hard hats and safety vests, which are available onsite. Additionally, open-toed shoes, sandals, or high heels should not be worn. Our priority is your safety while you're on the guided tour. We look forward to sharing our progress with you!

Thank You to the First Presbyterian Church of Naples

The Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance received a generous donation from the First Presbyterian Church of Naples. The support of the church and its parishioners continues to help move our mission forward as we work to provide secure, affordable rental housing that strengthens the Immokalee community in numerous ways.

“The fact that this is hurricane-resistant housing is not emphasized enough. Not only is IFHA supplying housing to move families out of deplorable housing and into stable, affordable rental units, but the buildings are storm rated to 150 MPH.”

Donor Spotlight: Molly Godley

Molly Godley started her teaching career in the 1980s in Immokalee and is very familiar with the current housing situation in the community. Now retired, Molly actively supports the Immokalee Fair Housing Alliance.

“It wasn’t good back then, and it is much worse since Hurricane Irma hit. Children need space to do their homework, to have a sense of home with their family. And I worry about the girls with strangers boarding in the same hovel.”
