Amistad successfully held two Community Pro Bono Programs in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's legacy.

In collaboration with Assemblywoman Solages, Amistad presented information on Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Estate Planning, Family Law, Consumer Debt & Mediation on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024 at Elmont Memorial Library.

Serving the Amityville community at the Church of God in Christ Prayer Tabernacle, on Monday, January 15, 2024, Amistad presented on Family Law and Domestic Violence, Criminal Law, Real Estate, Mortgages & Foreclosure, and Disability Claims.

Thank you to our dedicated attorneys who volunteered their time to make this annual program a success.

Part 36 Reporting Deadline Approaching

Pursuant to Part 36 of the Rules of the Chief Judge (22 NYCRR Section 36.4(d)), "[a] law firm whose members, associates, and employees have had a total of $50,000 or more in compensation approved in a single calendar year for appointments made pursuant to this Part shall report such amounts on a form promulgated by the Chief Administrator."

If you're a sole practitioner or if you're a member of a law firm that had compensation approved of $50,000 or more during the 2023 calendar year, a UCS-876 form (Report of Compensation Received by Law Firms for Appointments) must be filed with the Appointment Processing Unit on or before March 31, 2024.
