Snap
We all have been there when life seems to be floating along just fine and then snap… a change comes along and pulls you out of your comfort zone and forces you to change a routine, a schedule, a way of life, a habit or even a lifestyle.
Those snaps affect us in many different ways, sometimes the changes are huge, then some are just a little bit of rearranging and then there are those snaps that pop open and without moment’s notice, we are left bewildered, and thrown into unknow territory.
This year we have already seen a few snaps open… and the blessing that comes with unexpected outcomes is that God never changes. And we are able every day to count on his presence and his loving guidance and wisdom to carry us through a journey that has landed in our lives.
This devotional is as a reminder to you and to me that today is the day that the
Lord has made, let us rejoice in it no matter what it holds. Today is the day to ask
Christ to be a part of your life if you haven’t already. None of us know what plans.
the Lord has for our lives or for what reasons he has allowed circumstances to
come upon us. But what we do know is that our God is GOOD, his love is
boundless, his grace is eternal and his hand is stretched out to hold mine and yours.
I ran across this little poem by Emerson several weeks ago and think it is such an
appropriate and sweet “wish” to send to someone who has been snapped …but for
now this wish is for you!
“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
Blessing for this day and the ones to come! Cathy
