The Glades Initiative Food Pantry of Choice Hours

We hope that the flexibility of our new “Pantry of Choice” hours helps us to serve you better. You may come to shop in the food pantry once per week at any time during open hours. In a “Pantry of Choice”, you choose the foods that you want and need (within guidelines)! Food will no longer be distributed outside.

Required to participate:
• Valid ID or your Glades Initiative Food Pantry ID
• ONE time per week

WHEN: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
  • 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. (Tuesday)

Take Stock in Children Mentor Training Sessions

From Take Stock in Children: "We are recruiting mentors for our new students coming into our program between now and August 2022. We need your support to make it possible for these students to receive a college scholarship. There are mentor training sessions in April and May, and we hope you can join us at one of those sessions. Our students meet with their mentors once a week at least three times a month during the school year as a requirement to receive their college scholarship."

Health Care District's Clinics Offer Patients Free Grab-and-Go Narcan to Save Lives from an Overdose

To combat the rising number of overdose deaths this year in Palm Beach County, the C. L. Brumback Primary Care Clinics are offering free canisters of Narcan nasal spray without a prescription to adult patients at its network of clinics countywide. Patients and their families no longer need to ask for Narcan; they can grab it and take it on the go. The nasal spray is safe, easy to administer and has no side effects.

This online tool was created to connect individuals seeking food resources to sites near them. Information is English, Spanish, and Creole. United Way updates the information listed on this map weekly. However, locations and hours of distribution may change. Please consider calling the site prior to visiting to verify the information listed. Please note that sites may have specific requirements such as ID.

In Need of Masks? Contact The Glades Initiative, Inc.

If you or people you know need masks, The Glades Initiative has masks and will share them with anyone in the Glades who needs them. These are the white two-ply reusable washable masks given by the health department. Call or come by to pick them up as long as supplies last. 

If you are with a group of vulnerable people and need more than 20, call us first and we will do our best to help you get what you need.
