July 2023 Prayer Letter

I think sometimes when we see God do all sorts of wonderful things how easy it is to forget to praise the Lord. In Psalm 96 the writer gives us a wonderful introduction to how we should praise God whether it be in good or indeed bad times.

We see the proclamation to praise God in verses 1-6. We see here the invitation to praise God in a number of ways. First, it is to sing to the Lord. Of course, music is one of those wonderfully subjective areas of the Christian church that causes no end of heartache, but it can also bring wonderful joy and be a great means of expressing our thanks and praise to God for all that He has done. Notice in these opening verses that the quality of the singing is not mentioned. In Psalm 95 it says to shout joyfully to the rock of our salvation. Personally, my singing would be described more like the shout than quality type but nevertheless, the Lord loves to hear His people sing His praises.

Then in verse 2, we can sing the Lord’s praises in proclaiming the good news of His salvation. Have you ever considered that our witness to the Lord’s working in our life is another way of declaring His praises? Of course, this is the reason we produce the Challenge newspaper as it sings the praises of the Lord in changed lives. Then we can declare His praises by shouting about His Glory and the wonders of His creation to all the nations. The word Glory speaks of the sum total of all that God is. We can also declare His praises by drawing people’s attention to the wonders of God’s creation and how He has put everything together and each day He faithfully maintained His creation.

Pray for the Impact Africa team. Pray for team unity and for the Lord’s protection as they travel to and from ministries each day (29 June-18 July)

Pray for the various ministries the team will be involved with while in South Africa - Prison, children, hospital, street, paper distribution, and church ministry

Pray for the Ministry organizations that we will be working within South Africa – Multi Ministries, World Hope Prison Fellowship, Cheerful Care Givers

Pray for open doors and opportunities for the team to share the gospel with people

Pray for one of our Impact Africa leaders (Graeme Jacques) who has been unwell with back problems. Pray with us for God’s complete healing as he has an important role to play within the team

Pray that our Christmas in July campaign will bring in funds so we can reach out to even more people

Pray that churches will have a heart desire to share their faith with the local community. Pray for open hearts to hear the Good News of Jesus

Pray for new USA Challenge partners who have a desire for outreach and would like to know an effective way to share the Good News of Jesus in their communities

Pray that our staff remains healthy.

Prison Edition

Pray for financial partners with a heart to reach the lost in prison by investing in the USA prison edition. Funding is required to increase distribution into various prisons.

Pray for new opportunities opening up to send the Prison Edition to new States and new facilities.

Pray for open hearts to receive the Good News message.

Spanish edition

As we work to ship the Challenge Spanish edition into Cuba, pray for the Cuban people to have open hearts to receive the Good News message.

Pray for support partners to help share the Gospel message through the Challenge Spanish edition with churches and ministries who minister in Spanish-speaking communities and countries.

Pray for the international Mission teams that use the Spanish edition as they travel to Spanish-speaking countries th.

We have had several new prisons (US) contact us about receiving the paper.

We have had a couple of businesses contact us about using the paper. This will be awesome to place the Challenge in local businesses (US).

For a fantastic trip to Carnarvon for the Impact team (AU). Over 2400 Challenge papers were distributed through door-to-door and street ministry. The Men/Women outreach events had a great response

Several responses from US prisoners who have shared their testimony. How the Challenge newspaper has inspired them to seek the One who changes lives



For the steady increase in distribution both in Australia and overseas. Covid forced a lot of churches/ministries to cease using the paper but they are beginning to recommence
