I'm getting up early to watch trash
There is something meditative about trash TV. I’m talking 90 Day Fiance, Ghost Adventures, anything from Bravo, something that allows you to shut off your brain. That's why more days than not, I do what my boyfriend calls “hurry up and relax”. I get up two or so hours before I need to leave for work, make myself some coffee, cuddle up with my 11 year old cat named Kitten, and turn on a show where I intend to learn nothing. Just ease into my day. A simple thing, with a powerful outcome.

I’m cooking
My passion for Culinary Arts stems from years of observing and helping my uncle who was a chef in New York City. Through the exposure, the kitchen has become my playground with the cookware and utensils as my playmates. I’ll be honest, as much as I love to grill a steak and pair it with mashed potatoes, baking and decorating cakes, etc have also become a favorite pastime. Sampling the finished sweet is a real treat! Cooking and baking provide inner joy when I observe the happy and content faces.
In addition to the above, being an athlete sparked my interest in the field of nutrition and dietetics.
The importance of properly fueling and hydrating my body before any practice or athletic competition is key to not only performance, but recovery as well. On any given day, numerous thoughts surround one’s food choices. When considering food selections, one may think, “I should not have this or that food, as it is not good for me”. Provided one has no underlying health condition, moderation and balance should be the overall goals for all individuals, not complete elimination. I love to educate others in the field of nutrition and to do that through the major is the icing on the cake.

Vivvian is a 12 year old Staffordshire Terrier who was rescued as a bait dog in Philadelphia, abused & emaciated. She was surrendered to the shelter, where she was taken in by New Leash on Life USA, a prison-dog re-entry program. She was trained by an incarcerated gentleman named Clif under the direction of a certified professional to serve as a therapy dog. Vivian passed her Canine Good Citizen Test while in prison through this foundation. Vivian found her home when Michele Pich brought the veterinary students that she was teaching at the University of Pennsylvania Veterinary School up to the prison to help socialize the prison dogs. Michelle had already been running a therapy dog program at Penn, but did not have a co-worker and Vivian was a perfect fit! When Vivian is not enjoying belly rubs, back scratches and peanut butter she is serving as the Therapy Dog Ambassador for the National Dog Show. This led to the partnership of the Shreiber Family Pet Therapy Program at Rowan University & the Kennel Club of Philadelphia’s National Dog Show Presented by Purina coming together to run the Annual National Dog Show Therapy Dog Symposium at Rowan University, hosted by Michele Pich, Assistant Director of Rowan’s Pet Therapy Program, and David Frei the host of the National Dog Show. Now in its 4th year, that will take place on December 7th 2022. Attendees can will enjoy meeting therapy dog experts and enthusiasts, including Nichole Skeehan, who ran the program Vivian met Michele in! Register today: go.rowan.edu/TherapyDogSymposium
