TSMA Board Retreat Recap

The TSMA Board of Directors participated in a valuable retreat on Wednesday, January 3rd at Backroads Steakhouse in Evansville, MN.


Discussion and strategies on the direction and future of TSMA were the agenda for the day. The board decided to adjust the number of membership meetings and hold the following events in 2024:

  • January 3 – BOD retreat and networking social
  • March 14 – Ice golf fundraiser
  • April – membership meeting/tour
  • May – Trap shooting fundraiser
  • July – Golf social
  • September – networking social
  • October – Tour of Manufacturing and CTE Jamboree
  • November – membership meeting/tour
  • December – Holiday social fundraiser


Board members also reviewed the role of the board, membership numbers, financials, and 2024 goals.

Ice Golf Social on March 14

The second annual TSMA Ice Golf social will be held on Thursday, March 14 at Lake Reno Bar & Grill near Glenwood. Last year around 40 golfers participated in the 9-hole contest. This year our goal is to have over 60 golfers! Proceeds benefit TSMA's support of manufacturing-related programs in the region.

Board bio - Greg Terhaar

Greg joined the TSMA board of Directors in November 2023. Greg is a 1994 graduate of St John’s University with a Bachelor of Science in History. He worked for 23 years at Coldspring (the granite company) as a sales representative, then director of sales. He has been the Director of Sales and Marketing with Louis Industries in Paynesville for 2 ½ years.
