The K-16 Collaborative CoPs are designed to support and engage faculty from high school, community college, and university. By working together to bridge the disconnects in our educational pipelines, we can meet the needs of all students in San Diego and Imperial counties.

A community of practice brings together a group of people around a particular body of work. Getting to spend time with others who are facing the same challenges and have the same passions allows you to learn from one another, align systems, and build your network.

K-12 Work Plans

Contracts have been sent to LEAs with approved 24-25 Work Plans. Please return signed contracts to Mayra as soon as possible and begin implementing your approved work plan(s).

REMINDER: If your District received an extension to your 23-24 Work Plan, please make sure to complete your projects and spend out any remaining funding by December 31st!

Verified Program Designation Day

The San Diego Regional Economic Development Corporation (SDREDC) Verified Program Designation Day on November 13th was a success! Employers, workforce leaders, and educators came together to shape the future of workforce development and talent recruitment. Guests had the opportunity to meet with education and training programs preparing the next generation of talent and hear from San Diego’s largest employers about the rapidly evolving landscape of talent recruitment and retention. Thank you to the San Diego colleges that participated! The San Diego Verified Programs will be officially announced on December 12th!

The Imperial Valley Economic Development Corporation (IVEDC) Verified Program Designation Day is coming up this week on November 20th. IVC and SDSU Imperial, we'll see you there!

Budget Modification Requests:

If you need to request a budget modification for any of your approved projects please contact Mayra. Requests must be submitted by December 13 to adjust for any expenses from July 1 to Dec 31, 2024.

School Data:

If you have not submitted your 2023-24 data yet, please get that completed ASAP! This is required of all educational partners.
