But first... another milestone reached to protect Tahoe from bad development
Last week, we received the final Writ and Judgment in our legal case against Martis Valley West. In it, the Court directed the rescission of all approvals for the North Tahoe building proposal, finalizing an important legal victory for the League and our co-plaintiffs, Sierra Watch and Mountain Area Preservation. The good news effectively closes this chapter in our ongoing effort to protect Lake Tahoe from the impacts of oversized, improper development – whether it's located inside or outside the Tahoe Basin. Still, the League continues to be vigilant for other projects that may harm the Lake.

Free, on-demand rides on the south shore
Starting July 22, you can grab a free, shared ride on the south shore through an app-based, on-demand microtransit service called Lake Link.
ADA-accessible vans will take you (and your bike and cooler, if you’ve got them) door-to-door anywhere from the casino corridor at Stateline, Nevada to the Lake Tahoe Community College/Al Tahoe neighborhood in South Lake Tahoe.
The debut of Lake Link is the culmination of a multi-year effort by the League to bring microtransit to the south shore and help alleviate pollution from car traffic.
