Dorinne Dorfman, Ed. D., has served as a teacher and principal for twenty-five years in Vermont public schools. She has earned two graduate degrees, Educational Leadership and Education Specialist, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies. As a Fulbright Scholar, she taught at the Technical University of Berlin and conducted research on democratic secondary education in Germany. She has published articles in education research journals, including International Education, Studies in Art Education, Planning and Changing, and Journal of Curriculum and Pedagogy, among others. Her interests include the science of reading, educational policy, and full-service community schools. Currently Dr. Dorfman teaches structured literacy to middle-school students in Central Vermont.
