TURN IT AROUND:
Youth of the Month

We’d like to congratulate April’s TURN IT AROUND Youth of the Month, Hidalee Holguin!!

Hidalee has been a superstar these last few weeks! She is such a joy to be around. Her bubbly personality is so positive it’s contagious. She has been essential in everything she’s participated in this month. She was a big help at our Earth Day event last week, and also just completed a 5 week restorative justice and community organizing training with community partner, TPP (Transformational Prison Project). Hidalee is destined for great things and we are so happy she’s such a big part of TURN IT AROUND!!

Join us next month for our monthly Race Dialogues in person at the Peace Park!
National Poetry Month
As April ends, so does National Poetry Month. But it also kicks off TURN IT AROUND’S poetry / spoken word “boot camp” where our young people learn how to write and perform their own original poems. This will all culminate with our annual Spoken Word Slam competition at our 10th Anniversary celebration on June 30!
Earth Day Peace Park Clean Up!
In honor of Earth Day, we participated in the Annual Peace Park Clean Up! Huge thank you to our partner The Kennedy Center, and to everyone who came by! Thank you to Baby Boyle Bouquets for the flowers, Charlestown YMCA for the pizza, MGH Charlestown & Dr. Linda Forsyth, Gina Endres from Councilor Mejia's office, and the Transformational Prison Project for helping!
April Birthday Shoutouts to Emmanuel, Sean, Oumar and Zay!
