CCCD Hosts Equipment Workshops for Producers throughout March

Walpole, NH (April 1, 2022) – The Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD) continues its work in providing technical and educational assistance to producers and community members. CCCD invites the community to three workshop opportunities in April.


Pruning Workshop 
 
When: April 5, 2022, 5:00pm-7:00pm
 
Where: Westmoreland Garden Project, 193 River Rd, Westmoreland, NH
 
Community Garden Connections (CGC), in partnership with UNH Extension, and the Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD), will provide an overview of pruning techniques for fruit trees to support production, help manage pests, and maintain tree health.

Equipment Field Day

When: April 19, 2022, 11:00 am

Where: Cheshire County Farm, River Road Westmoreland, NH 03467

Join Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD), Windham County Natural Resources Conservation District (Windham County NRCD), and UNH Extension staff and farmers to see equipment in action, and learn about CCCD's equipment rental program! Learn how other farmers have utilized equipment on their land, and ask questions!

BCS Tractor Training 
 
When: April 25, 2022 

Where: Stonewall Farm, 242 Chesterfield Road, Keene, NH, 03431
 
Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD), in partnership with UNH Cooperative Extension, the National Center for Appropriate Technology (NCAT), and Stonewall Farm, will host two 3-hour BCS Tractor trainings. To be eligible to rent the BCS Tractor through CCCD's equipment program in 2022, you must attend this training.

Attendees can choose between two session times on April 25, 2022: 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm
