Feedback on Portrait of a Graduate
Reminder - District 86 is seeking the community’s help with the development of our profile of a graduate, which will feature the qualities and characteristics we want our students to possess when they leave our schools. We have created a brief survey people can use to:

  • Provide up to five attributes that they believe describe the ideal District 86 graduate.

  • Convey their interest in being part of a focus group that will aid the creation of the profile.

The survey, which can be accessed by visiting https://forms.gle/A8fvoYUtjA8syPY46, will be open until April 22 at 4 p.m.

We want to thank the community for its participation in this important process, and for its continued support of our schools and the students we serve.
Deaflympics
Hinsdale South senior Jay Yang and his sister Judy, who is an alum of the school, are members of the first badminton team that the United States will be sending to compete at the Deaflympics.

The Deaflympics is an international multi-sport event that is organized by the International Committee of Sports for the Deaf. It started in Paris in 1924, and was the first sporting event for people with special needs. This summer, an estimated 4,500 athletes from more than 100 countries will head to Brazil to take part in the games.

You can check out an interview that Jay and Judy did about this opportunity by visiting https://bit.ly/3uHkO56. You can also learn more about the Deaflympics by visiting https://www.deaflympics2021.com/.
