AUGUST 2023

Fall is an exciting and busy time at Eblen Charities! School has started and we are looking ahead to our Pumpkin Campaign, the Coat Giveaway, the Toy Run, Giving Thanks at Thanksgiving, the Toy Drive, and finally, the St. Nicholas Toy Store! In the midst of serving so many neighbors, we are moving! After more than 14 years at the Westgate Shopping Center, we are saying goodbye to our long-time home (and thanks to the FIRC group for being such good landlords to us) to move to a new location at 23 Hamilton Street. This stand-alone building has both warehouse and office space and will allow us to hold our giveaway events in the same space as our offices and is more accessible to the bus line.

Stay tuned to our social media, our website, and this newsletter for specific move-in dates, and for information on our upcoming Open House events.

THANK YOU, Ingles-Markets,

for sponsoring the annual

Ingles Tools for Schools Supply drive on

August 2. And thank you, WLOS, iHeart Media

and the Citizen-Times for partnering with us as well. The support of local businesses and our generous community helped us provide supplies to over 600 children this year!

We are also grateful to these local businesses who teamed with us to collect additional supplies for our giveaway that was held on August 15. Biltmore, Firefly Realty, LPGA-Asheville, Kimmel & Associates, Mast General Store, Mission Hospital, Roberts & Stevens, Silver-Line Plastics, Simply Home, and Yesterday's Tree! Thank YOU! See more!

Thank you, URJ Six Points Sports Academy, for choosing Eblen as the recipient of your summer kindness! A $10,000 check was presented to Eblen last month and the counselors in training from each of the three sessions volunteered to help out in our warehouse and also on the outside grounds of our future site.

We appreciate your Kindness in Action!

New Location Revealed and Duke Energy Foundation Grant Celebrated!
