Upcoming Events & News

New Directory: The directory is ready! Copies will be available in the Narthex to pick up throughout the month. 



Choral Evensong: Due to sickness, there will not be Evensong this Sunday as planned. Next Evensong will be Sunday, September 24th.


Sunday School: Suzanne and Nikki would like to invite members with kids and grandkids to a brief meeting after the 10:30 am service this Sunday, August 20th.


Coffee Hour: After the service, everyone is invited to the Parish House (two lefts at the bottom of the steps) for refreshments and fellowship. We promise you will still be able to beat the Baptists and Methodists to lunch afterwards.


Bible Study: Kristian Ameigh is leading a bible study that began on Sunday, July 9th at 2pm. Material will be obtained from The Gospel According to Improv by Les Carpenter; you are not required to purchase the book to attend the study. This Sunday’s bible study group will not meet.


Altar Flowers: Volunteers to provide flowers for the upcoming Sunday is needed: September 24th. Please contact Jo Cargill-Krug to reserve this date.


Care Team Collection: The Care Team will be collecting personal care items to be distributed. There will be a basket to collect items at the front of the church as well as a box in the church office. Items to bring can include: travel size toothpaste and toothbrushes, dental floss, Kleenex, soap, shampoo, hand sanitizer, wipes, washcloths, deodorant, sunscreen, bug spray, feminine hygiene products and other toiletries.


Blessing Box: Donations for non-perishable food items are needed for our Blessing Box, previously known as the Little Library. Foods that are ready to eat and pop top items are suggested. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated.


Lector Signup: There will be a signup sheet in the Narthex for members to sign up to be a lector for the 10:30 services in the fall; you can also contact Sarah Harmon to be added to the list. Training will be held after Labor Day before rotation begins.


Bishop Candidate Voting: Please contact our delegates, Jon Healey, and Nikki Bittle, about any opinions you may have about the upcoming voting for the new Bishop. If you do not have their contact information, please call Katie at the office.


Meet-and-Greet Videos Archived: If you were not able to attend or watch the live-streams of the meet-and-greets with the candidates for bishop, they have been archived, along with a list of the questions asked, on the diocesan website at episcopalarkansas.org/meet-and-greets.


Back to School Photos: If you would like to submit back to school photos of your littles (or bigs too), please email them to Katie at the office at stpaulsbatesville@gmail.com by August 28th. (This includes your grandkids too!) 😀

Prayer requests will stay on the Parish Prayer List for four weeks with the exception of parishioners with ongoing needs. If you wish a prayer request to remain on the list, please call the office to renew the request.
