YOUTH FUNDRAISER LUNCH THIS SUNDAY!

Our youth group will be hosting a fundraiser this Sunday immediately after our morning worship service. Every dollar raised will help offset the cost of our summer mission trip to FUGE Camps in June!

The impact of camp can last a lifetime in the spiritual formation of a student. We don't want cost to be a hindrance. Please consider joining us for lunch, and helping our families out.

Suggested cost is $10.00 per person. As always, you are able to contribute more if you feel so led. Our menu is burgers, chips, desserts, and tea/water. All of our hamburger meat has been generously donated by Darby Farms!

We also need donations of dessert! If you can donate a dessert, please drop it by the kitchen on Sunday morning.

Thanks for supporting our youth!

FBCR Children at Play!

CHECK OUT WHAT'S HAPPENING:

Calling All Cooks! We're serving chili to the Welcome Table families on Monday, February 5. Wendy's is donating 10 gallons (Thanks, Wendy's!), but we'll need probably 8 more gallons. Could you provide a pot of chili with ground beef and beans? Nothing fancy - just a good, hearty chili. If you're able to help, text or call Nell Bovender (828-429-9129).

We are looking for Valentine treats for our eight college students. If you can help, please bring your homemade or store bought treats to the Fellowship Hall Kitchen on Sunday, February 11.

Tuesday Playgroup (S.A.M.E. = Science, Art, Math, Exploration) meets each Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. - Noon. All preschoolers with an adult friend are welcome to come and explore the classrooms for 2 hours of open play (wear play clothes!). For more information, email Donna.

B.I.G. Bible Study (Be Imitators of God) and Children's Choirs meet on Tuesdays from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Ages 3 through 5th grade are welcome!

Adult Study During the B.I.G. Idea/Children's Choirs time, Jessica Godfrey is facilitating a class for adults based on Kate Bowler's Podcast, "Everything Happens." You can read about her work and find podcast episodes and conversation guides at katebowler.com. If you have any questions, contact Jessica Godfrey at 828-289-5087.

The Stronger Together community worship service at R.S. Central High School is Sunday, January 28 at 11:00 a.m. Preschool, children, and youth Sunday school classes will not meet; adult classes are welcome to meet before heading to the service. We will not have morning worship at FBC Rutherfordton that morning.

HopeWorks, a community afternoon program that meets on Wednesdays and Thursdays, is in need of canned drinks, snacks, gently used clothing, and shoes. If you can help contribute, drop your donations by the church office.

FUGE Youth Camp is June 17-21 at Carson-Newman University in TN. $75.00 deposits are past due! Email John if your student is interested in attending.

The Yokefellow item for January is canned meats. If you can donate any, please bring them to the church office.

You're invited to help provide breakfast for the students at Spindale Elementary by donating pop tarts, granola bars, or breakfast bars. Drop your donation by the church office anytime during the school year and we'll make sure it is delivered to the school.
