It's time to GET EXCITED about Fall Classes!
Combo Classes:
Our new Broadway Training series is the perfect way to get training in 2 areas all during one class session. These combo classes will be split into 2 60-minute classes focusing on one discipline. Ages 7 through 18 are eligible to register and the classes will be split into two groups based on age and/or experience level.

Fall Combo Classes:
  • Stage and Screen - East (435/Wornall Area, KCMO)
  • Musical Comedy - West (Lenexa Area)
  • Singing Shakespeare - West (Lenexa Area)

Production Classes:
These classes offer a unique blend of technique training and production experience. During regular class time students will audition, journey through the casting process, rehearse, and use the material from the production class show to dive into the world of acting and receive invaluable technical training. Since our main focus is on training students in their performance skills, Production Class shows will be produced with limited production elements. There will be a public showcase performance during the last class of the session for family and friends. These classes are perfect for students of all ability levels and all students will be cast in the production class show.

Fall Production Classes:
  • Puffs (One Act Edition) - 6th-12th Grade - East (435/Wornall Area, KCMO)
  • 15 Reasons Not to Be in a Play - Age 7-8th Grade - West (Lenexa Area)

Private Lessons and Studio Hour:
The First Act Vocal and Acting Studios are excited to offer an opportunity for students to take private lessons with one of our highly trained instructors! Each student will take a private 60-minute bi-weekly lessons or a 30-minute weekly lesson over a 14-week semester, with a total of 7 hours of private instruction (a $350 value). In addition, private studio students will meet 7 times a session at the First Act Studios to have “Studio Hour.” In this time, each student will have the opportunity to learn from each other as a group and from multiple instructors. At the end of the semester, both the Acting and Vocal Studio students will participate in a showcase or recital.

Hailed by New York Magazine as “The Perfect Broadway Musical,” The Drowsy Chaperone is a masterful meta-musical, poking fun at all the tropes that characterize the musical theatre genre. (Courtesy of MTI)
