Recently, PepsiCo booked nearly $80 billion in sales and is ranked as one of the world’s outstanding corporations. It owes its success by crossing paths, nearly a century ago in Long Island City, with (at that time) the world’s largest candy chain, the Loft Candy Company. This month, in our ‘Legends of Long Island City’, we profile the first part of our story.
