Join NYC Robotics Meetup for their next in-person event, hosted at Eventscape (LICP Member) in LIC. Come hear about robotic fabrication in the built environment, robots on the theater stage and building in outer space!

On Friday evenings this August, MoMA PS1 (LICP Member) hosts a curated series of DJ sets in the Courtyard, presented free with Museum admission. August 12 artists will include Venus X, Akua, and DJ Undocubougie.

It owes its success by crossing paths, nearly a century ago in Long Island City, with (at that time) the world’s largest candy chain, the Loft Candy Company. NYC Commercial Organics Rules Enforced for Additional Food-Related Businesses
NYC Department of Sanitation began enforcement of the Commercial Organics Requirements for additional businesses on July 31, 2022, requiring staff-handled organic waste to be source separated for collection. This date comes at the end of a two-year warning period, extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As the extended warning period comes to an end, DSNY is again reminding those impacted by the requirements.

SING LIC
SING LIC is a locally grown children's choir that teaches kids singing, performing arts skills, ear training, theory, and the importance of friendship and community. They give kids confidence in a safe environment for self-expression as well as opportunities for live performances.  Accepting all who love to sing pre-k-8th grade!

COVID-19 Updates
As of June 18, the CDC recommended that all children 6 months through 5 years of age should receive a COVID-19 vaccine. More information can be found here.

As of June 13, Mayor Eric Adams announced that masks are optional for 2-4 year old children in all early childhood settings. More information can be found here.

As of June 12, air passengers do not need to get tested and show the COVID-19 test result or documentation of recovery from COVID-19 prior to boarding a flight to the U.S. More information can be found here.
