FRIDAY FLASH

December 2, 2022

A Note from Headmaster Scott

Dear Archway Trivium Families,

A greedy fellow? I should say!

They passed the apples around this way

and then he snatched- he couldn’t wait-

the biggest one upon the plate.

Such greediness I do despise!

I had been keeping both my eyes

upon that apple, for, you see,

the plate was coming, next, to me.

‘Twas big and mellow, just the kind

a greedy chap would like to find.

He laughed as if he thought it fun-

I meant to take that very one.

-Sydney Dayre

Heartily Devoted,

Clay Scott

Great Hearts Open Enrollment for new families is open from November 7-December 9, 2022. This enrollment is primarily for students applying for in Kindergarten in 2023-24 and 5th grade students applying for 6th Grade enrollment at Trivium Prep in 2023-24.

Current K-4th grade students DO NOT participate in Open Enrollment. Re-enrollment for Kinder-4th Grade families will take place in March 2023.

Please share this information with friends and family who might be interested in enrolling at Great Hearts. https://www.greatheartsamerica.org/enroll/

Community Investment

We are incredibly humbled by the outpouring of generosity that happened around Giving Tuesday this year. We far surpassed the goal of $10,000 at each school. Please watch to see just some of the grateful faces of our students and faculty as we announce how much we raised. All the funds that we bring in to support Community Investment and Tax Credit, not only for Giving Tuesday but all year round, help to bridge the funding gap between the public schools and what we receive as a charter school. We are doing more with less, so every bit of additional support from our families helps to ensure we can pay for the building mortgage, the utilizes, books, copies, salaries, benefits, and so much more! We will be posting additional recognition of our newest donors and announcing our Giving Tuesday winners next week.

Tax Credit

It’s time to focus some attention on our Tax Credit Drive! Congratulations to Ms. Rubi Vasquez for being randomly selected to receive a $25 Amazon gift card in our faculty TAX CREDIT DRIVE drawing. We are excited to report that a majority of Archway Trivium faculty and staff have already participated in the 2022 AZ Public School Tax Credit. They do so by redirecting their tax dollars at the point at which they are deducted via Payroll. They have so far re-directed over $11,000 of their AZ state tax dollars to benefit Archway Trivium, collectively contributing nearly 13% of our Tax Credit goal!!!! Thank them, and then DO THE SAME!!! Among a few ways it can be used at Archway Trivium, the AZ Public School Tax Credit allows us to subsidize the cost of taking scholars in every grade on typically 2 field trips every year.

Thank you to Altered Combat, a Trivium family business, for sponsoring all of our Tax Credit Drive 2022 incentives this year…All you have to do is re-direct your tax dollars through the Tax Credit here before the listed dates to be included in the drawing for that week.

Winter Concerts

Please mark your calendars for our upcoming Winter Concerts. This year, our Archway concerts will be held on campus in the Trivium Gym. Scholars wear Concert Attire (as described below). This is a wonderful celebration of our music program at Archway Trivium. We look forward to seeing you there!

Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off/Pick-up

With the expansion of Archway and addition of the new building, there are significant changes to the traffic flow for the upcoming school year. Please carefully review the new Archway Traffic Flow for Student Drop-off and Pick-up and reach out with any questions. Taking the time to understand these procedures will help to ensure the safety of our students/staff and a smooth traffic flow.

Carpooling Update: Our east side pick-up lane has had a faster track and will now be our designated carpool lane.

If you have 2 or more Archway ONLY pick-up cards, you will be guided into this fast-track lane for a faster pick-up. Please be sure to have your pick-up cards ready to show our traffic controllers that you are carpooling so they can guide you to the appropriate lane. To maintain the flow of pick-up, others may be directed to the fast-track lane, but carpools will be given priority. Please do not enter the carpool lanes until you are directed to do so.

As a reminder, if you are picking up Middle School students DO NOT ARRIVE to campus before 3:15 PM. This creates significant delays. If you arrive before 3:15, we will ask you to go back into our pick-up lanes and try again.

Please follow the link below to review the DETAILED Archway Traffic Flow Plan and be sure to share this link with anyone authorized to drop-off/pick-up your children.
