We're grateful for the warm welcome at the Chamber's First Friday Meet & Eat. The food was, as always, delicious and the setting perfect for mingling and connecting. SENIOR U.S. BUSINESS EXECUTIVES VALUE DEI INITIATIVES NEW SURVEY REVEALS


New data was released this month from a national survey of senior executives in large companies which reveals a strong consensus across political affiliations that diversity initiatives are critical for business strategies, create significant value, and will become increasingly important.  “The numbers speak volumes – more than 80% of business leaders consider diversity initiatives essential to their business strategy, and the vast majority believe such initiatives will grow in importance in the future," said Tammi Wallace, Co-Founder, President & CEO of the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce.

JEFFERY HUYNH NAMED CHAMBER VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR


At this year's 8th Anniversary celebration the Greater Houston LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce recognized Jeffery Huynh as our "Volunteer of the Year!"


Jeffery Huynh, mild mannered real estate professional by day and Chamber super volunteer whenever we ask him to assist. Jeffery works with Chamber Member Engel & Völkers Houston and is President of the Houston Gaymers, the largest LGBTQ+ gaymer group in Texas. Still he manages to make time for the Chamber by volunteering to be an ambassador for our organization at a variety of our events from Drag Bingo to Pride In Business and the suburban Pride events we participate in.


Jeffery will always greet you with a smile and has been instrumental in signing up new Chamber members on his own. Congratulations Jeffery on an award well deserved!

Chamber Leadership joined colleagues from the North Texas LGBT Chamber of Commerce for the Texas Travel Industry Unity Dinner. The event was held at The Woodlands Waterway Marriott Hotel & Convention Center. We also ran into our colleagues from the San Antonio LGBT Chamber of Commerce as well! Thank you to Visit Dallas for the invitation to join you for such a wonderful evening.
