It was a rewarding experience for six OCCS students who spent the day on November 18 at the Iowa State Campus, rehearsing with the Iowa Junior Honors String Orchestra. Emily, Celeste, Haley, Drew, Joslyn and Kaylee traveled to Ames with their parents and spent the night before getting up early and practicing the whole day with other talented string players from across the state. Lunch was an enjoyable time of choosing from the many food options available on campus and then it was back to work for the afternoon. The music played at the concert was beautifully done and although the students were tired by the end of the evening, they could go home knowing they had performed and used their God given talents in a unique and fulfilling way!
