TRANSITION TO A NEW ERA

Book description: Humanity is at a crossroads. On one hand is the path of our sure destruction and of significant destruction to the planet. On the other hand, progressive forces are hard at work creating new ideas and new approaches. They are building the foundations of the new society, though as yet little can yet be seen of their work. Those who see deeply enough know that soon the conditions of the world will change and the demand for their knowledge will be great.

A progressive vision is now emerging to replace capitalism. Guided by this vision, the progressive minded society builders must be ready to spring into action, like disaster relief teams action teams following a great catastrophe. Capitalism has been digging away at its own foundations and has no contingency plans for its collapse. Capitalism will fall, and its outdated economic system will not be able to function. There will then be opportunity for new ideas and new hope to guide and inspire humanity to build a new society on the basis of values that show great care for people and the planet.

COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT: EVERYONE VILLAGE

Everyone Village is a sheltered community developing in Eugene. Those in the area may find interest in some of their daily activities including peer support, art groups, and gardening. There are many exciting ways that this group is innovating and creating sustainable community models in our corner of Oregon.
Below is an excerpt from Everyone Village's recent blog post titled, "When is a kitchen not a kitchen?," that feels especially salient in this time.

"Trouble is coming. Don’t expect smooth sailing, expect conflict. Conflict doesn’t mean community isn’t working, conflict is community, working. It is in the working out of our differences that we are in fact doing community. It is great when everything goes just right, a wonderful feeling, but it should not be treated as the normal state of things. And it is how we respond to differences that makes the difference between a successful community and chaos."
All of this month's programs take place via Zoom. Find more information about each of our spiritual community programs and receive registration links using the events button below.

Now you can view all of our courses at transformation-education.org .

We've split our events onto two Google calendars. You can add our spiritual community events to your calendar as well as our courses so you can keep track of what you want to see in one convenient place. Adding these calendars to your own will allow you to get updates and reminders so you never miss an event!
Art for Service & Blessedness

Community Created Prayer Flags!
from the Arts for Service and Blessedness Learning Community program
The Arts for Service and Blessedness learning community has met 3 times so far and some members of the group embarked on a project together to make prayer flags for peace in Ukraine. This one, painted by Kirana, has the word "peace" written in the waves in 14 languages. This was a fun, beautiful and meaningful project!

Thank you to all who are a part of the Art for Service & Blessedness Learning Community!
Transformation Education is three quarters through our first learning community on the Arts for Service and Blessedness! It’s been a rich experience for those participating so far, and we have collaborated on one project we brought to completion! Hopefully we can offer this again in the future for new and returning participants. Creations shared with the group so far include paintings, poetry, visual art, and music.
