In light of the Dobbs decision . . .

With the recent Dobbs decision and the general state of high alert in the nation, we want you to feel safe, be prepared and not caught off guard if protests or disruptions occur. Curia staff have been and will continue to monitor the situation as events unfold and situations arise, but your preparation and assistance is critical.

For your safety, here are a few things to consider over the next few weeks and throughout the summer:

  • If ever you feel uncomfortable or see something happening that concerns your safety, please call 911.
  • Anyone can call 911 and in speaking to the police, they would rather several people call about an incident than have people assume someone else will call.
  • If you are contacted by media, please make no statements but simply refer them to Justine Lodl at jlodl@gbdioc.org or 920-272-8213.

Prayer is a powerful tool. Let us ask for Our Lord’s grace at this turbulent time in our nation.
Love Begins Here in Oshkosh
July 10-13
5 Ways LBH'rs (and anyone) can be missionaries in everyday life:
  1. Smile! This is the easiest way to share with others the joy of the Lord!
  2. Commit to a routine of daily prayer.
  3. Do small acts of service with great love every day in your home.
  4. Look for those who are lonely and unloved. Listen to and spend time with them, to show them Christ's love.
  5. Stay connected to the friends you meet on your journey.
Please say a prayer today for our host parish, St. Raphael, our core team and our missionaries as they work on small things with great passion. May God bless them abundantly with safety and good fruit!
