Inspection Report Writer Update

Over the past few months, we have been in communication with Mohawk Claims Management regarding their inspection reporting requirements.

I am pleased to announce that we have completed updating our Hardwood, Laminate, LVT and Ceramic Tile report forms to make sure that the requirements in their checklists are covered in the reports you send.

Reports sent through Floor Detective go above and beyond manufacturer's requirements and contain all the detailed fields necessary to provide the most complete and professional-looking reports in the industry.

They are 100% accepted by manufacturers.

Thank you to the over 140 Inspectors that are already using the Floor Detective Report Writing Software.

If you are an Inspector and would like to try it, please email me at flooringinspections@gmail.com with your contact info.

My career started in the Masonry and Tile Industry in 1978 attending Chesterfield College of Technology in the United Kingdom gaining a City and Guilds London Institute diploma in Masonry construction. Leaving the United Kingdom for San Francisco in 1994 I found myself working for a masonry company as superintendent, finally obtaining a California State License for Masonry (C29) and Tile (C54) in 1997. I continue to grow the business of Heritage Marble & Tile Inc. through knowledge and education, and we are known throughout the San Francisco Bay Area for quality installations willing to take on the most challenging installs. I have certified Ceramic Tile Education Foundation installers who are also ACT certified. We are a National Tile Contractors Association Five Star Contractor. I'm also owner of Tile Inspection Services and a Recognized Industry Consultant and the current President of the National Tile Contractors Association. I currently sit on the NTCA Technical, Standards and Methods as well as ANSI A108 committees. I'm also a member of the Institute of Inspections Certification Restoration Certification as an Inspector for stone and ceramic tile.

He launched J.G. Woelfel & Associates in 2007 with his father, Justin “Butch” Woelfel, who himself has decades of experience in the industry.

Additionally, as President of Artcraft Granite, Marble & Tile Company in Mesa, Arizona, James runs the day-to-day operations of a technically adept and multiple award-winning NTCA 5 Star Contractor.

His technical knowledge and professional standards are also why he is one of only two tile contractors in the United States to sit on the TCNA Handbook Committee for Tile Installation and the ANSI ASC 108 Committee for ceramic tile installation.

James stays current with industry standards, methods, and installation techniques by serving on several national installation committees.
